It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Fleshy Whiskers is a rather old dragon who lives in a drafty, two-room cave as ancient as he is. In the hidden back he keeps all assortments of strange, powdery medicines and petrified specimens in jars of acid and unidentified slime. The front of the cave is where visitors must sit and wait for Fleshy Whiskers to make their acquaintance, he himself is never actually seen—for the visitors must request a medicine aloud, and some time later, a thick, green-tipped whisker will snake out from the back section to receive the payment and return, before making a second trip, gripping the desired medicine like a hand. Many visitors are bothered by this rather disturbing tentacle-like whisker, and some have run out screaming at the sight of it. But the truth is, the tentacle-whisker is really one of Fleshy Whisker's famously long whiskers, which he reputedly magically elongated by accident. Now, more customers see the whisker than he himself, and that is the way he likes it to be.
