Avatars of Change are unpredictable, exuberant dragons whose unique connection to magic has saturated their entire bodies. It is said that possessing one of their iridescent scales can change one’s fate, and many have sought the favor of these dragons hoping to receive a scale as a gift.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Joan Lee is the middle sibling of the three avatars of The Imagine Nation. Her bright wings and sparkling scales are admired throughout the Nation. However, her constantly changing mood is not. She can go from sweet to bitter in the twitch of a tail and holds grudges for an unneeded amount of time. Master of magic, she enjoys playing tricks on the older and larger dragons of the Nation and coaxing younger hatchlings and dragons to join in on her pranks.
