Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Shiso means "look of death" or "shadow of death" in Japanese. It's no wonder that this mischievous hatchling is always playing tricks, pulling pranks and stealing things from other dragons and its owner, then giving them the adorable look of death. No one can ever blame him for doing anything wrong, as no one can resist the cute look. His partner in crime is of course, Kageru. The pair are best of friends, always teaming up to play tricks and pull pranks.
