Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chip is the kind of dragon whose spirits you can never dampen—permanently bright, cheery, and comical. She balances out Ripple nicely, and enjoys swimming, which is rare for whiptails. She's learned that she can use her wings to 'fly' underwater almost as fast as Ripple and Wave. Chip enjoys using her long, whiplash tailtip to weave designs, which she can often hold up to the light and use to cast intricate symbols, even putting words in them, in shadow.
