Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Chronos are often considered to be the most elusive of all Xenowyrm subspecies: they live in the darkest and densest forests, far from civilization. They are masters of time magic, allowing them to manipulate the flow of time at will. It is said that Chrono lairs are protected by a field of magic that makes the minutes tick by at a slow pace for any unwanted visitors.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Somatou is known for two things in particular: his powerful time magic and his penchant for getting very, very distracted. Incidentally, he is able to make use of both of these traits while performing his clan duty, guarding a cache of mana crystals assembled by the elder dragons of the Sylvain family. Anyone entering Somatou's lair can expect to be there for an hour at least, though it likely will feel like several hours by the time they leave. Since he almost never gets visitors, Somatou likes to talk about virtually anything, and will go from pondering a new crack on the cave wall immediately to discussing whom he favors in a love triangle one of his siblings is caught in. Somatou claims that he has never encountered a thief in all his time spent as a guard, but that is probably because most would-be burglars who enter the cave leave either too bored or sidetracked to remember why they came there in the first place.
