Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

There once was a man named Harold who collected dragons. He, during his work, caught a serious disease that couldn't be cured. Harold lived far away from his wife and children during the summer and had no way to relay his dire message, so using a Magi dragon he was able to bring the to life, creating the first Paper dragon. What Harold didn't know, however, was that if a Paper dragon came into contact with other paper scraps they would come to life too. Where there is paper, there are Paper dragons. Well, at least this is what The Tragedy of Harold tells all of the impressionable hatchlings around the cave.
