Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jeremy Wade is a skilled fisher dragon who can catch hundreds of fish in a mere couple of hours. She adores fish and could eat nothing but fish for her entire life and be completely content. Despite fish's being her favorite food, she donates most of her catch to the Heal Sector in order to feel sick, injured, or dying dragons.

However, Jeremy Wade does not simply receive praise for her good deeds. Jeremy was born with severe mutations. Her tail is a nub and the pigmentation on her wings has become a patchy white and black mix. Sometimes she has difficulty flying. The Whites and Magis have tried with no avail to correct these flaws. She appreciates their effort but insists that she is perfectly content with how she was created.
