Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Varashii was the first of the Great Dragons brought by Kaerth across the Narrow Sea to dwell upon the Dothraki Plains. He spends most of his days in the northern passes, where the rolling plains meet the craggy hills that are the closest he can find to the mountains that he prefers. Bound to Kaerth, he will not leave the massive flat island.

Isolated from his home, native habitat, and companions of his species, Varashii has become a bitter, temperamental beast. He keeps his distance from the other residents of the Plains, often snapping at the other dragons and even sometimes at Kaerth herself. His mood only seems to improve when there are eggs or hatchlings about, at which time he will part from his solitude to the sheltered grove where the younglings are kept safe and will keep a close eye until they reach adulthood.
