And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. It’s learned to use its new wings quickly and you now have a hard time keeping it on the ground.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Grothica, the female hatchling was adopted by two very strong gray dragons. Grafinara and Grogino had taken her in as an egg and have treated her as their own. She loves to fly through the skies as fast as she can. Her best bud she loves to fly with is Garchawio. She will stay small and never completely grow. Not many can understand why. She is not like adult grays. Instead of being short tempered she is the complete opposite and is easily misunderstood. She tries to keep others in her clan happy, though it seems hard because of their short tempers, but she's good at it. The only thing that sets her off is when another dragon has crept into her cave without permission. At this time she becomes enraged, she doesn't attack right away. She always lets out a warning first, then attacks later.
