Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Liu is a very compassionate and thoughtful dragon. He spends a great deal of his time with other dragons who are upset. They come to him to vent, ask for advice, or just to be listened to. He's always quiet at first. They speak their hearts and minds to him, he considers what he has been told, and then he responds. His responses are always carefully worded so as never to sound like he might be judging them.

Whenever other dragons in his cave are upset, the first thing that they are always told to do is to go fly with Liu. For that reason alone, Liu stays near home even though he wants to go explore the world. He doesn't mind it that much though because helping a friend will always be more rewarding than going on any adventure.
