Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys swimming in a nearby pond.
And look! Its fins and tail have gotten bigger, and you’ve moved it to a larger body of water to swim in. It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
User Description
Gone in a flash after every daily required visit with Crazy, Toodles swims far and wide each day. Crazy often forgets she adopted Toodles into the clan, since she is around the cave so little other than the morning greetings the entire clan performs. At first, Toodles started dashing off because she was too nervous about being kicked out of the cave by jealous dragons since she knew who her parents were and most of the other dragons do not. But eventually, Toodles found a joy in the solitude of the deep places in the oceans and lakes of the world. Her great speed allow her to always stay young. At any sign of aging, though, Crazy mentions that she only allows one adult dragon per breed in the cave unless they were born here, which encourages Toodles to swim even faster so she stays a hatchling always.
