Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Orto del Fiorituro is a brash, tactless dragon. As a hatchling, he was always troublesome and disobedient, often pelting other hatchlings and the elders with pebbles and running away giggling. What's worse, he influenced several of the other hatchlings of the time, forming a little gang in the nest. While most of them grew out of it, Orto and the Green Dragon who grew up to be his mate, Toni Oliva, remain wild and uncontrollable. Recently, their earthquakes have killed several of Stromboli's eggs, which was the final straw for the rest of the clan. Orto and Olivia have been cast out from the nest, and now live on a desert plateau far to the south of the cave. There, at least, their seismic misbehavior can do no damage.
