As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Turquoise is a beautiful drake, yet she doesn't realize it. She is extremely shy and doesn't talk with other dragons. As a hatchling, she grew close to Emerald. When they grew up, they realized they could never become mates. She was a drake, and he a dragon. When Cyan, a Glaucus Drake, grew up, he fell in love with her, and she took the chance to reproduce. As time flew by, she found herself genuinely loving Cyan more and more.
