Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As skating obsessed as her mother, Freezemoor makes her home in the far north accordingly, as the ice of countless years that's piled there is the only ice thick enough to hold her enormous weight as she goes skidding across it. Yet Freezemoor is a gentle beast at heart, and does more within her world than simply play in it. Possessing the same gifts of prophecy as her father, albeit at a somewhat lesser level, she uses her powers to warn the locals of moving ice and poor hunting to come early enough for them to drift temporarily south, while also warning the greater community at large at the dangers of exhausting too fully the limited resources of the north.
