Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Emerald Earthenblood was one of the first to discover the cave that her and her clanmates and allies now live in. She stumbled upon it while foraging, and couldn't figure out why such a perfect cave was not inhabited. The cave was big enough to house a few hundred dragons, had a large lake, a forest nearby for foraging and hunting, and was sheltered from the world by tall mountains on one side, and a desert a short flight away.

She flew back to her clan, and told them of the cave. Her clan sent envoys to the Mizus, Blackhearts, de la Rosas, Stonehearts, Firehearts, and Stormhearts, asking them to join them. They did, and lived in peace for some time. Every so often, news of a new dragon clan appears, and Emerald extends the offer of friendship and peace to all those who wish for it.

Her mate is Shorr Earthenblood, although she had one egg before him with Skorm Elfinblood. Her daughter, Harmonia, joined the Crystalwings and brought them back to the cave.
