Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Many living creatures, human beings and dragons alike seek out the lair of Fernyig for guidance, good advice and good words. The knowledge and wisdom of Fernyig is crystal clear, simple, pure, and deep. He is not a well-known individual, as he does not really like commercials and fanfares along his ways of life. He usually leads a solitary life and nobody really knows about his connections towards the other dragons and creatures. It is obvious that he gladly shares his home with small pygmies, who see him as their spiritual father and mystical guardian. Fernyig has many unique ancestors in his lineage; among others Valentine and Halloween dragons and Spirits of Winter and he is very proud of his precious family tree. When he is not occupied with learning and teaching, he loves flying around his territory and take care of the inhabitants.
