Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Donko was a sickly hatchling, and was dying as he came to the cave. Hyara The Hero; a pink dragon, saved him. He is violent at night, but, strangely, is gentle in the morning. This is because as an egg, a dragon put a spell on him, when exposed to light, his heart is filled with it. When there is no sun, his heart empties of light. At night, he is dangerous even for a Black Dragon, able to spread his curse onto other dragons. Fortunately, many of the dragons in this cave knows ways to ward off dark spells. Don't get him wrong- he is kind and harmless in the day. He stays with Molamma the purple dragon, his mate, most of the time, except at night.
