Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Dragons often ask her what a "meta description" is, and get a confusing, though appropriate, description of a meta description which in itself is a rather funny meta description. This paradox leads many dragons to believe she is insane, but they are far from the truth: in reality, What Is With The Meta Descs is protesting the lack of protest of a very problematic problem involving the involvement of descriptions about descriptions. This is what she refers to as a "meta description", and frankly, she views them as a waste of wasted time. Her point of view is that meta descriptions are so confusing that they confuse the confusion of dignitaries outside her clan, which review each description. Anyone with half a brain would understand, but most dragons don't 'mind', as they point out that her very own description is but another description about descriptions.
