Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. MotherOfTheLost is a dragon who is able to feel auras. She senses sad auras the most and will cure the sadness by chanting and singing. MotherOfTheLost is seen by some humans as an evil force, helping dragons destroy towns and villages. She has said she never uses her powers for such reasons.

MotherOfTheLost sings haunting songs at night, sometimes creeping out the townspeople. The scroll-writer has been asked to release or kill her but refuses to do either. The scroll-writer records at least 28 times the dragons' lair has been burnt down by angry townspeople, 73 plots to kill or release MotherOfTheLost, and about 274 rocks thrown at MotherOfTheLost.

It seems that everyone hates her, but there are people that love her help and songs. She is honored by dragons as a healer and by humans as a singer. MotherOfTheLost writes her songs down and sings with humans. Her favorite song has cries, mournful shouts, and somber humming.
