Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its scales are a radiant off-white color.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Not all angels are necessarily radiant. One should keep that in mind when this hatchling is involved. While initially having a kind demeanour, somewhere between hatching and growing wings Krii changed. His aptitude for magic increased and with it grew a more insidious side of him. Sure, he does good deeds like playing with the hatchlings and healing injuries here and there on a daily basis.  "It's nothing" is a claim he often makes, and it is quite true. Krii has no problem doing things for others, but also has no problem harming them or using them. The constant aiding is more of an unconscious reflex than anything to do with genuine altruism.

His freezing was a preventative measure, unlike most of the frozen hatchlings who were frozen by accident or preference. Allowing an already magically talented hatchling with no conscience to mature would have been a huge folly.
