Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Origi Blyck is the alpha male of the Blyck pack; a group of frozen black hatchlings. Unlike some of the other hatchlings, Origi has a well-developed mind. He is, so to speak, beyond his years. He is very forceful, and maintains command of the Blyck pack well.

Onyx Blyck is his partner; since he and Onyx will never grow up, they can never truly be mates and breed. However, there is a strong attraction between the two of them, and they know that if they could grow up, they would become mates. Therefore, they call themselves partners. Origi would do anything for Onyx, even at the expense of another Blyck member.

The Blyck pack mistrusts the other six families of the scroll. They stay away from the other families, and only take care of each other.
