Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Zevagus was born in a rainforest across a vast ocean, miles away from where he resides now. He makes his home with his mate outside of a small clan that lives in the sloping foothills of enormous mountains, but he finds himself longing more and more for his rainforest home as each day passes. Here, in the plains, he is an outsider; dragons stare and hatchlings point. Over there is where he belongs. But even though it would be an easy albeit long journey to fly back home, Zevagus will never leave his nest. His longing keeps him hoping, and as he puts it, keeps him alive. The moment he accomplishes his goal of finding his home, he will no longer have a purpose for living. So he remains quiet and withdrawn, keeping his wide wings as closed in as his private sufferings so that his dream will remain alive, and with it, his spirit.
