Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Silt is a very loud and obnoxious dragon. He likes making noise as he stomps through the woods breaking branches and crushing dry leaves. Most dragons are smart enough to move quietly through the underbrush, but Silt thinks its silly to waste such a wonderful opportunity to really make some noise. That's why his favorite insects are buzzing bumble bees. Although they're a little too tricky for him to eat, he finds them to be exceptional entertainment.

Silt first discovered them by accident when he was smacking his rear end into a tree. It wasn't an entertaining experience when the bees came hurling down with their hive out of the tree, but now that he knows to make the hive fall on others, it's really quite fun.
