This hatchling appears to be... dead?

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Banshee is the youngest Vampire on the scroll. Dull in color and weaker without the markings or teeth of Kazanna or Vladimir, Banshee requires a lot of attention. Boneniva the Black Marrow has taken to watching and caring for the little hatchling while Screecher has developed a crush on the hatchling that looks no different than his unsightly self. Boneniva acts like a mother to both babies, getting them food and dividing so that each gets their share, Screecher is the closest that Banshee has to a sibling.
