Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, smaller in females, aiding both in digging up food and protection from attack. Females are noticeably brighter than males due to their habit of not straying far from particularly algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pomegranate is the shy child of Pink and Jungle. She tends to hide behind her parents or older siblings for protection, which is a bit of a shame because she is easily the prettiest Flamingo on their entire home island. Pome (her nickname) is a sweetheart. Around her close family, she is essentially a lap dog, always close by and offering affection. Her mother, Pink, tends to worry for her, as she acted her exact same way in the past and took a long time to start becoming independent. She hopes, eventually, Pome will reach a that same independence in her life, but it doesn't appear to be so just yet. Pome is a quiet Flamingo, maybe the quietest in her huge family. She's very selective of who she speaks in front of, usually Pink. Otherwise, she's practically a mute, remaining silent and stiff as a statue while everyone else speaks. For this reason, she doesn't have any friends or even acquaintances, another reason Pink worries so much about her. Pome is afraid to trust others.
