Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s kind of shaky on its feet and enjoys playing in puddles.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Bubble waves is an over hyper hatchling that can run around the cave three times before needing a break. She also thinks that rational clouds and all the other frozen hatchlings like her, but she's most likely mistaken. She'll try to fly sometimes, however and she was almost killed once, if it had not been for Em, the main resident dragon belonging to Bubble's owner, had gotten in the way. Bubble was still hurt though, and she still has a scar around her eye. It did not affect her sight fortunately, but it still scared her seriously, so she hates strangers now.
