Pillow Dragons are covered in enormous amounts of fur affectionately referred to as fluff. Despite their deceivingly large size, they can still fly even with such tiny wings because their bodies are remarkably light. Pillow Dragons have a habit of sleeping for up to eighteen hours a day, waking only in short bursts. During their few waking hours, they take the time to hunt for prey. Once a pillow dragon becomes an adult, its fur grows very slowly. Pillow dragon fur is used to make very expensive and valuable cloth known as “dragon cashmere.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There is always that one dragon, the dragon with a laugh that could light up the cave, and the dragon whose peppy, bubbly personality makes her hard to dislike. For the Pillows in her cave, that dragon is Levitate. She practically radiates energy. She is an optimist and a little quirky at times, but this only adds to her popularity. Dragons like being around her because she can't help but put everyone in a good mood. She is easy on the eyes and ears, social, and fun-loving. Her hobbies include all things decorative—she loves arranging a good bouquet or stringing together petals and stones to create a sort of band that can be worn around the neck. In fact, she is rather fashionable, and is always setting trends. Once she made the mistake of making wing garland out of poison ivy. The outbreak left her entire Pillow clan itchy and miserable for days! But of course, Levitate meant no harm. She is too loving and peaceful to even hurt a fly.
