Avea Pygmies are extremely active dragons known for their aptitude for flight. They will often fly for long distances and are in a constant state of migration. Avea Pygmies live in large groups for protection and they will care for each others’ young. They are herbivores and especially like fruits and berries. When dealing with other species, Avea pygmies are short-tempered and quickly take offense. After one has offended an Avea, gifts and bribes are the best way to regain trust.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.
User Description
Hisho loves to eat. And more to that, she also loves the experience of smelling good things to eat. Since she's almost always flying around, that gives her plenty of opportunity to find new and interesting smells. Throughout the years, Hisho has sniffed the aromas of plenty of cooked treats in particular, from fruity baked breads to fresh berry pancakes toasted over campfires. Human explorers who encounter Hisho and her groupmates have taken to following them from place to place, since the migrating Aveas tended to congregate in areas that were safe and resource-heavy spots ideal to set up camp at. When the humans noticed that Hisho would approach them in order to catch whiffs of their cooking, they started giving her and the other Aveas food in exchange for helping them find safe spots in the wild to spend the nights. Now Hisho makes sure to keep a sharp eye and nose out for any sign of humans, especially those who are making food she has never smelled before.
