Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn’t seem to have any color to it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Kxo Adrhot Kxinotaud Tebvuso, or just Kak, is a frozen albino hatchling. He spends his days sitting around his clan's camp, observing everyone and everything that moves. Some say he is quite creepy and that he sends chills down their spines when he focuses his ruby-red eyes on them, but they know he is not malevolent. Frozen because he was inbred and had a inherited disease, Kak is a good friend of The Sickly Hatchling, a disabled, frozen red dragon that Kak visits often. Also, Kak seems to have an excellent memory, and although he remains silent usually, he will always take the time to tell The Sickly Hatchling about what he has seen around the mountainous, woody camp that his clan calls home.
