Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

While all luminas have vanity issues, this male really takes the cake. Constantly huffing and puffing over his great beauty, he's also very proud of his great luck; everything he desires seems to fall into his lap, and he always manages to escape from trouble. Every trouble but one, that is. A few of his clan members, jealous of his beauty, dared him to test his luck by rubbing against a turpentine; if his scales survived, then they truly would believe him the luckiest dragon of all. Tragically, however, his luck wasn't that strong... but his vanity demands that he keep trying until his luck DOES prove true. Of course, matters have been made rather complicated by the fact that he fell in love with the bemused turpentine female he kept rubbing up against, and many now believe he'd keep snuggling with her even if his scales did remain intact and declare him winner of the dare.
