Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Couella used to be very social, but now stays secluded in her own section of the cave. Why, because a hatchling tried to eat her tail. It terrified poor Couella, so she now avoids all dragons (except of course her friend, Paier, who cannot eat her because he is made of paper). She will still spend time with Avea, but Couella is very wary because she is made of Dutch Gouda cheese, Avea's favorite!
