Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Golden Purple Evening enjoys watching the purple evenings as they take place near his seaside cliff. This should have explained his name, but there is still that troublesome 'Golden' in front of 'Purple Evening'. The truth is quite troublesome itself: Golden Purple Evenings would like to make all evenings golden. For he has watched purple evenings for many years, and wishes for something different, something new. He finally resolved to make all evenings as gold as it can be, so he can bask in the golden rays of a dying sun. Now, he hasn't quite figured out how to do that yet, but it doesn't bother him, for he knows others have done the same. After all, he says, the moon probably wasn't silver in the first place, and neither was the sky blue. They must all have been changed by ambitious dragons like himself, and he, too, would leave his mark upon the world (and the star it revolved around). There's just one thing left for him to wonder about, and it's who made all the evenings purple.
