As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

A rather withdrawn female, this creature dislikes excessive activity, preferring to spend her life tucked away deep in the woodlands. She takes an artist's pride in the faded hues of her wings, and not without reason: her dull coloration renders her one of the greatest hunters in that forest, concealing her until the perfect striking moment. She has been known to take game easily as large as herself.
