Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Galazar is the ancient queen of gold dragons, gleaming gold and scaring everything who comes in her path. She chose to never mate and stay away from all the other dragons, constantly sleeping in an old abandoned cave that no dragon ever dared go near. She has always been holed up inside her cave until everyone thought she was dead and dull, no longer shining like she used to. After hundreds of years she finally trotted outside of her cave, very curious at all the new dragons she was seeing. She then flew on top of her very old perch she used to have, and finally claimed her old rightful place as queen Galazar, representative of all gold dragons everywhere.
