Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

In the darkness of the night, a shimmering green emerald glows amidst the orange steam that hisses out of the shattered bed of hardened lava. Parts of it have not yet cooled all of the way through, and at the center of the crater at the heart of the mountain, molten magma still bubbles up in eerie radiance, defying it's stony prison. The emerald moves, the eye of the great dragoness Zetxa who haunts this realm. Zetxa has always lived here, the surrounding mountains were formed by the volcano she dwells in, and are inhabited by a wide variety of other dragons, who have formed a sort of friendly, self-supporting group. Amongst her peers, Zetxa is known as a bit of a grump, but she is always willing to explore, and has a great pride in her ability to defend her fellows. Curious to a fault, she is always getting into trouble, and loves a good adventure.
