Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon hails from a most proud family whose members consist wholly of gold or ice dragons. Such ancestries are rare, but they do exist... as attested by the appearance one day of a humble servant at the entrance to their den, and a request from another family of similarly noble pedigree that hoped to foster relations between the two. The matriarch of the first clan, a human named Cala, was kind enough to agree to the proposal, and it was in that way that this young golden dragon came to spend many happy days visiting the other tribe. From there the two bloodlines grew inseparable, forming a bond that would last for many generations to come... largely thanks to the fact that the cheery young gold and a charming young ice female from the allying tribe became the best of friends!
