Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Slash Arch-Fire loves to hunt with his father. He thinks he is the most terrifying thing in the world, due to that fact that wherever he goes, people run. He doesn't know, however, this this is because his mother threatens to torch anyone who tries to hurt him. He prefers cooked food over raw, and, much like his mother, has a fiery temper. His fighting skills, however, could be compared to a angry sloth.
