Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vyom is both grumpy and lazy, which means that he spends most of his time sulking and avoiding everyone who might try to come near him.  A few dragons, however, have managed to worm their way into his affections, most notably Sylvan, whom he has taken as his mate.  In Sylvan's presence, Vyom is almost approachable, and on rare occasions he allows her to talk him into spending some time with JainaKay.  She has been amazed to discover that Vyom is, in fact, remarkably intelligent and occasionally even funny, and slowly they have begun to develop an awkward friendship.  As long as JainaKay knows better than to approach him, but to let him approach her (with Sylvan in tow), they sometimes manage to get along.  Jaina considers this a remarkable improvement.
