Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

BrightOpal is the lead female singer for the band "The Higher We Fall", a band which is only recently getting locally popular among dragons. The band itself has designed "dragon friendly" instruments so their love for music wouldn't stop by just hearing humans play. BrightOpal's voice is known to jump from high to low and is able to surprisingly harmonize with the rough voice of the lead male singer, an Ember dragon by the name Coldcoal. She currently has a crush on Zorfan, the two-headed dragon drummer. The band is also made up of:

A Royal Blue who is a "softer male singer" named Orpheus Ice

A Hellfire Wyvern who plays the "strings" named Zorajina

A Golden Wyvern who plays the more unique instruments named Golden Goldest

And a Dark Myst Pygmy who plays the "wind" instruments named Lil' Print  

BrightOpal gets the credit for starting the band and so is mostly in charge. The band is like the family she never truly had, and she hopes to bring the band to victory.
