Mimic Pygmies seem quite harmless during the day with their impish grins. However, at dusk they show their true nature, drawing on Death mana to imitate the voices of the dead, using their mimicry to lure the unsuspecting into an ambush. Once drawn into the circle of their colony, Mimic dragons will attack in a swarm, disabling their victim then settling down to lap up the welling blood from their still-living prey.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

Fukenko was never a strong flier, which made her a liability when her colony would go hunting in swarms. However, she made up for this by having an uncanny knack for uncovering sources of mana crystal, particularly Death mana that was useful to the colony. Fukenko spends her waking hours scuttling about, prying small shards of Death mana crystal from their natural sources and storing them in the colony's communal living space. In exchange, the colony obligingly allows Fukenko to share in the spoils of the hunt, granting her access to the blood feeding once the victim has been incapacitated. She may never be part of the group that hunts in the open air, but Fukenko still feels like she has a place in the colony so long as the Death mana continues to be plentiful.
