Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pyxinus is the older sister of little Circinyx and daughter of Pyxis Major and Circinus Minor, two wonderful navigators and explorers who have had many adventures. Pyxinus herself is more easy-going than her parents and, after traveling a ways from home, found a place to settle. She now lives with other dragons in a beautiful, large and complex mountain next to an ocean. However, Pyxinus frequently visits her beloved parents and little brother, for she could never forget her family. She has her mother's navigational skills, but is a tag-along in personality, like her father. She's not as wild and energetic as her little brother, but she loves spending time with him to give her parents a break when they need one. Pyxinus is loyal to her family first, then the dragons she now lives with. Still, she hopes that someday she may find a mate of her own.
