Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Gentle and beautiful yet painfully shy, Evesura has always been the loner, feeling alone even in a crowd. She is friendly to those who dare to speak to her, but they are few and her friends are fewer. While other dragons spend every minute of free time with their own friends, gossiping and laughing, she is content to stay by herself lost in one of the countless books she has collected or carefully sketching her surroundings with sharpened sticks of charcoal. As an only child, she has always lived this way, and usually it suits her just fine.

But there are times when her heart aches to see the happiness of those around her at the sheer joy of friendship and it pains her to compare the measly number of her friends against theirs. And she realizes that her life is leading her to her deepest fear: complete and utter solitude. But for all of the encouragements she gives herself when the loneliness is too much to bear, her own diffidence always reminds her of her fate.
