Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, smaller in females, aiding both in digging up food and protection from attack. Females are noticeably brighter than males due to their habit of not straying far from particularly algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Trianna is very proud of her pink scales, and she has a bad habit of littering them all about the cave—and the house—as 'decoration.' This often annoys Tiny, who does the housekeeping—not to mention Tiger!—since the shed scales end up in the most awkward places. Poor Tiny spent an hour once getting every last one out of the flour bag... she looked more white than green afterwards, and so did Trianna when Tiny was finished with her! Trianna does have her redeeming qualities, though, such as her gorgeous drawings and paintings, and occasionally sculptures.
