Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Edan of Old Time is eggmate to Chi, Heartland, Tanaka, and Adamina. Edan was very besotted with Chi Akahime at a young age. He only had the courage to start courting her when they nearly had become adults. Unfortunately, Chi scorned him and had an egg with Maho. Edan was in shambles and moped around until Chi returned to him. She was heartbroken and looked to him for comfort for Maho had left her and their egg to return to his mate. Edan gave her the comfort she wanted and when she started to love him, he was ecstatic. Chi and Edan soon became mates and he promised to protect her and her eggs forever. Since that day, Chi has been extremely loyal to him and hates to leave his side. Edan entertains large hopes of having a huge family with her.
