Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Day Dream Maker is what her name suggests- she's a Daydream Dragon. When she had first hatched, she never wandered from FireSpinner's warm side. All the other eggs had died and she would be alone without him and she kinda liked him. After only a few days, she and him wandered through the caves together. Their bond grew stronger, and, when she matured, they decided to become mates. They were the only adult dragons for a while, and their caretaker kept on bringing in new eggs for her mate. She eventually decided to stay in front of the cave entrance and dream all day long for weeks, occasionally coming in so that FireSpinner could fly to visit other dragons. Now, since her mate takes care of other eggs, she dreams more and more often.
