Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aeolus Kinkow arrived unceremoniously at the cave one morning, and he's remained there ever since. The only sunrise dragon in the cave, Aeolus serves as the leader of those residing in said cave ever since the odd disappearance of the previous leader, a young female sunrise dragon. Rumors of his involvement in the previous leader's disappearance are still whispered to this day, but Aeolus and those close to him choose to ignore them. He is the loving mate of Hippolyta Bloodbone, and the father of several offspring. It is said that should he ever father a female sunrise dragon, she will take her rightful place as leader, usurping her father's position. Aeolus declined to comment on this.
