Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Oogie Boogie was found by Lilim Demon on All Hallows Eve in a cave at night. Though the egg smelled of death the demon knew that there was something growing inside. The demon waited for the egg to hatch and raised Oggie Boogie. The demon realized early on that Oogie was a vampire and the demon feed Oggie her vitae until Oggie was old enough to hunt on her own.

Lilim also being a creature of night taught Oogie the code of the night, how to hunt, and how to make friends with other dragons. Lilim learned that Oogie's bite was not painful but intoxicating and that other dragons forgot it ever happened. Oogie was instructed to keep a clutch of dragons around to feed from so she would never need for blood. Some of Oogie's clutch unknowingly have become addicted to Oogie's bite.

Despite Oogie being a vampire she longs to be a mother. Currently Lilim and Oggie are trying to figure out how Oogie can have children of her own. So far there has been no success, but they will keep trying.
