Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ray that Shines through Clouds is usually just called Ray. Ray is very quiet and dislikes attention. He will often go to a secluded place and practice his magic. Ray is very good at solving problems and helping others. During his hatchling years he was teased and bullied often by other hatchlings. The alpha, Lightning that Lights the Sky, was slightly worried about him. He disliked fighting others and did about anything to avoid it, even giving up his food. Lightning saw this as a problem that Ray needed to fix himself. One day Ray had had enough of all the teasing. He got up and used his magic to attack them all with a weak spell that made them unable to speak for three days. He is now one of the most respected dragons in The Cave. Ray is the fifth dragon accepted into The Cave and his mate is Lava that Flows like a River. They have wonderful children although sadly they had lost a few to sickness and other dangers.
