Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Majyc specializes in battle magic and practices dueling every day with whichever dragon will fight with her. Years of working with spells and sorcery have made her a legend of war, at least within the Dewsong clan. But for all the skills she has in magic, she has almost none in physical combat. On the battlefield, Majyc stands at the edge of the fight, using long-distance spells to attack the enemy. She refuses to even attempt to improve her physical strength, claiming that magic is all she will ever need. But even her most supportive fans will beg her to try a little harder--with age, her skills could fade, and then this battle-hungry dragon will have no backup plan.
