Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s chubby and pink with a faint rose-like smell.

And look! It has grown wings and the flower is blooming! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Bara no hanabira loves her mother's flower garden. She loves to walk through and smell all of the exotic flowers. She smiles every time she walks outside of their cave and sees all of the different kinds of flowers that grow near by. She loves to help her mother take care of all the flowers that grow in their valley.

Her name means rose petal.
